Oh I'm sure it was a rag mag. I agree he needs a new pr person. I also think that he and Meryl HAVE answered....we aren't dating, we have a special bond and friendship that's genuine, but not necessarily romantic. According to Maks, it was summer camp/showmance. We are glad you enjoyed our dancing, so, for now, the end and we will see you when we dance again. You're right, fans need to drop it. Maybe later. They were mesmerizing together.

She could have just held his head but she didn't. She feels something for him too. Will they make it as a couple? Who knows? It would be fun if they did, since we saw them fall for each other in a way that was much more intimate than the Bachelor could ever hope to accomplish.

I agree that he cares enough about this relationship to keep it private and I think they both do and are respecting each other's wishes. He has openly said that he loves her more than once so I believe there are some deep feelings there that go beyond friendship. I also believe they are trying to figure out just what those feelings mean and in Maks' own words it none of anybody's business. Their relationship means so much to them that they don't want to mess it up and they sure don't need the media sticking a mike and camera in their face every time they turn around.

It is very funny that you mentioned the picture of the puppies that she posted today - those puppies are Maks favorite breed. He has an English Bulldog and I saw something he said a few years ago about how he envisioned sitting on his lawn with his grandchildren and bulldogs running around. That wasn't everything that he said in his long term vision but the bulldogs were there. I think their fans just need to give them time and space and if they have something to tell us they will when they are ready. I believe there is a lot more than just friendship between them and I hope it all works out for them because they are so good together and for each other.

I will disagree with the bolded because Maks said what they have is real and he is not that good of an actor. I personally did not find his use of the English language bad at all. Their schedules have been hectic since DWTS ended, especially Maks, and some of the events were probably scheduled before DWTS even started, like the ice shows in Japan. Hopefully, once these commitments are over they will have time to explore where their relationship will go and of course dance for us again. Whatever their relationship is right now Maks does not want his private life out in the open and has made that quite clear in every interview he has done. He even said in one interview that he is sorry but he just can't be what his fans want him to be.

SLA, sorry I wasn't able to respond until now--
I should have been more clear in what I was agreeing with mnm on. I think that Meryl and Maks are both very intense in their dancing and they truly enjoy their performance. I don't think that this statement is in conflict with Maks saying that neither of them are that good of actors, in fact, they put everything that they have (both professionally and personally) in their performances. I absolutely believe what they were showing were their real feelings. I think that their schedules have imposed the separation that they have had and that once those commitments are over they will take the time to explore what their relationship is and what it can become. I also understand why Maks does not want his private life out in the open and I think this will actually help their relationship be stronger. Mtnlvr, I think like you do, that Maks knows that Meryl wants their relationship to be private and therefore that is where it is going to stay. Although I would love to see it be more public, as Maks says: it is none of your (my) business and that actually makes me swoon and want it (their relationship) all the more!

With skating, Meryl is used to "performing" but with Maks, I believe, she was able to drop her walls and let her emotions come out which is something I don't believe she has ever done in her skating performances with Charlie. She and Charlie have never had that type of relationship but yet their performances needed to have some type of "chemistry". So, I think we know how her performances with Maks would have looked if she and Maks didn't have something real going on.

The unambiguous statement is, "we're not dating." The whole one woman man thing is out of context and hard to know what it is supposed to mean.

But he hasn't slammed the door on dating. Just on letting us know about it laugh out loud

, "none of your business." Also extremely unambiguous.

Ah, Maks, no sympathy for us old romantics, eh?

Yep, that's it... if they were NOT dating or not interested in dating he would simply say, No, we are not dating..PERIOD. But he's not..they are being flirtatious... so that leaves the door open.... except it's non of our business, Hugesmile

Well looks like there may be something starting up with J-Lo afterall. If Meryl is interested she better put the moves on him. Not that they are serious or really dating but ...Maks went to J-Lo's show on 6/21 at Foxwood Resort Casino in Connecticut then they went dancing at Shrine Night Club. Supposedly they were very flirty, he was seen whispering in her ear, hugging her & holding hands then at the end of the night he left with a male buddy.

Hope he gets in rehearsals fast with Meryl for whatever it is they have coming up so they can see what they have together. J-Lo is 44 too old & for him and not likely to have more children which he wants.

I saw that article late last night and there were no pictures to back up the story last night and still no pictures this morning. With all the cell phones around with cameras it seems funny that there are no pictures of this touchy feely and flirty night together. I don't need to say how upset I was when I saw this article but then when it's always "source said or a source told us" and no photos to back it up it makes you wonder. There is a possibility there is no truth to this story or that it is highly exaggerated. For someone that has been so adamant about keeping his personal life personal why would he so blatantly put on such a public show with someone that he has been rumored to be dating? It doesn't make any sense. Furthermore Maks is not known to go after older women. He has some as friends but not ones that he has dated.

I am waiting to see what is said from Maks and/or his PR agent today. She has already posted a sign on her instagram that says "not all press is good press" and a tweet looks like she is seeing Maks today. I understood why Maks wanted to keep his personal life private but this is one of the consequences of doing that - rumors get started and grow like a bad tumor. I pray that this gets straightened out today and quickly because I hate to see innocent people get hurt by rumors if that is all this is. If it isn't just a rumor I will deal with that and be very disappointed but until then and will wait until something comes out from Maks side. Suspect

If true, what must Meryl think about all this?? No wonder her behavior indicates reluctance to start anything beyond friendship, work collaboration and mild flirting with him. Yikes.

She is one of the innocent ones that can really be hurt by something like this even if it is just a rumor. I can't imagine what Meryl is thinking at this point. The timing is really suspect also because it comes right on the heels of his PR agent answering a Q&A on her twitter account that an announcement is going to be made this week and I think she later said today about the special and that it was going to be fun. This whole thing just goes against everything he has said in interviews over the last 3 weeks or so and just doesn't make any sense.
