There is a lot of accountability and work that goes into raising children.
Ideally, a parent is on 24/7 with lots of responsibility there. Besides your own physical, mental, emotional and financial needs to meet, you now have those of another.
It certainly can be done singly and on your own, but there are reasons for the saying "it takes a village".
Hopefully anyone contemplating parenthood has a good support system in place. Parenthood under the best of circumstances is challenging and difficult at times.
That cute little cooing cherub doesn't stay that way.
It appears in Jilly's case she, she has a good village in place to help her.

Yes, living arrangements are very different compared to what may of been the "old standard" of getting married before kids, and as the old nursery ryme goes "first comes love, then comes marriage, then _______in a baby carriage". I think now because many want their own independance as well as being in a committed relationship, getting married first just isn't the all to end all anymore....IMO

I agree, those single without any partner moms I know have a great network of family and friends.

My own experience with friends whose parents have bad marriages, marriage in and of itself doesn’t make happy or healthy children.

I will preface this by saying all is JMO. I love Jillian but also feel sad for her. Jillian is a hard worker. It's evident to me by the sheer number of projects she has going on at any given time. I've thought for a little while now she might be pregnant. I was a bit po'd thinking this and seeing what was posted/blogged of her and Justin. Rumors have been around for awhile of his behavior, and I have no knowledge to make me believe he is a cheater. But what I do think is that he is someone who is "along for the ride". Jillian is the driving force that brings the "jobs" that Justin has into the fold. I do see things that make me believe he is a good dad. But as a partner, not so much. Whenever I see them together (okay it's online or tv) he IMO shows her little affection. The way he handled their engagement was strange to me. He does just enough to keep her attention. She has a wonderful life with Leo, her family and her girls. Justin to me is kind of "there". When I saw them in the doctor's office segment, she appears so wound up and stressed. I know it's pregnancy hormones but the girl is a hot mess. He's kind of livin' his best life.

I remember Jillian talking to Kiptyn's mom during the HTD. She said she knew she had to "work for her happiness". I think all these years with Justin, she's been working hard. I believe she wanted that engagement ring and I believe she wants to be married. I am sad the guy in her life won't do that for her happiness.

From my view and things that I heard....he has a company, is partners in another and also works for his parent's company when it comes to building homes/condos/apartments. He is extremely attentive to Jill. He shows her lots of love and respect. For their epi where she was giving birth to Leo, he was really attentive of her. He dotes on Leo and by all standards is an excellent dad. As far as cheating.....there have been no rumors of that that can be established as fact. From all I have been told, there really isn't any cracks in that love between them at all. My family lives in Kelowna. IMO

@pavalygurl I totally agree, too.
The really sad thing could be one day Justin is going to wake up and realize how good he had it and how much she loved him and hopefully by that time, she has not sailed onto someone who really knows how to appreciate and love her the way she needs and wants.
We all deserve that one who really wants to be with us and if he is not "it", I hope that man does someday enter her life. It would be nice if Justin could wake up and it would be him, but I doubt it. JMO

Hopefully, she has her supports and help lined up for the postpartum and care of new family. Having 2 babies is not double the work. It's like quadruple the work. IMO
